MIZ – EVENT
Overcoming News Avoidance
& Reclaiming Trust
At the Medieninnovationszentrum Babelsberg, I was responsible in developing and delivering formats that connect media professionals, researchers, and innovators around key challenges in journalism.
One such event, “Overcoming News Avoidance & Reclaiming Trust”, addressed the growing phenomenon of audiences disengaging from news — a critical issue across European media landscapes.
The event brought together perspectives from across the industry, highlighting different approaches to rebuilding trust and relevance.
Through curated contributions and structured discussion, the format created a space for exchange between practitioners and innovators — translating abstract challenges into tangible strategies and examples.
AI.CUBE TOUR
A central focus of my work was the development and execution of the AI.CUBE Tour — a mobile format designed to bring media innovation and artificial intelligence directly into regions where’s almost no trust in tech, AI or the news.
Starting in the beginning of 2024, I took on the challenge of shaping the project while simultaneously onboarding into the organisation, its network, and ongoing event formats. Within a relatively short timeframe, I had to plan and delivered the first tour across Brandenburg.
The format combined workshops, presentations, and exchange with local stakeholders, creating an playable entry point into complex topics such as AI in journalism and media production. It was designed not only to inform, but to connect.
The project required coordinating partners, developing the mobile itself, and managing logistics across multiple locations — translating an abstract concept into a travelling format within just a few months.
