It’s raining all day long. Autumn leafs, rain and a cool breaze let me feel home.

There were days where I was sweating in december. Lost in Sansibar. I’m glad for the time and Ellis hospitality around that. Looking through these images I’ll always feel again my inner ambiguity. Managing to see the joy of life in all these faces even with having almost nothing. And I’m bearing my white guilt within every step and encounter.

yellow house & blue lights

Tonight I’ll be sitting home in our yellow house, hoping there aren’t any blue lights coming. Only Lauri back home.

Subtitle: A Day. A picture. A song. (12)

Tonight I’ll be sitting home in our yellow house, hoping there aren’t any blue lights coming. Only Lauri back home. Mostly healthy.

Blue lights will only be sung. And the little ikea stuff build up. Making our home more and more a sanctuary for the coming winter.

(Almost) breaking down & Brown Bread

7 am, on the road again and Release Radar on.

7 am, on the road again and Release Radar on. And just as I’m driving 30 km/h with hazard lights on, nerves down to bottom of the street, cause the car battery is almost empty, the next charging station 5 kilometres away, this songs comes on. Soothing my nerves.

A Forest

I don’t know where I took that picture.

Subtitle: A Day. A picture. A song. (10)

I don’t know where I took that picture. Could be one of my first weekends staying in Wismar, driving around, to beaches and forests.

It’s definitely matching my vibe today. Driving back home to Leirfjord, alone in my new car. Ahead of me are two days of work and now: mostly trees. But I like the view, rain on the windshield, and just 30 minutes ago I drove by two elks. But they went pretty quickly back into the forest…

unknown, maybe somewhere in Mecklenburg (18.09.21)

Trondheim & Madrugada

Here we are again. In Trondheim. On a mission.

Subtitle: A Day. A picture. A song. (9)

Here we are again. In Trondheim. On a mission. Yesterday I buyied a second car. After driving almost 10 hours with several stops cause Laura has a herniated disc or something. She for sure couldn’t even sit long and crawled out of the car. Now I’m strolling through the city on my own. Sun is shining and it feels like almost 20 degrees. It’s a shame that we can’t enjoy our time together. Reminiscing our time here, only two month ago.

I’ll finally did go the Rockheim (Pop Culture Museum) and discovered that almost 20 years ago I already like to listen to on of the most known norwegian bands. Madrugada. On my drive back to Laura and later visiting friends I listened again and again and again…

I go to bakeries

all day long.

Subtitle: A Day. A picture. A song. (8)

Yeah, I know. The song and especially the lyrics, these days, give stalkerish vibes. But I love the melody and sentiment of this whole song. And most of all, it has to me one of the best lines in music history:

I go to bakeries, all day long

Oh my, that’s what I want to do, some day… (but also in a way already did in Lisbon. On my mission to find the best Pastél de nata.;)

My dancing days surrendered

Whenever I hear that song I feel the urge to get out again.

Subtitle: A Day. A picture. A song. (7)

Whenever I hear that song I feel the urge to get out again.

Let's go to the movies, get a coffee
You need to know me
Talk a walk on the river
And melt in your company

Aw the good old days. Dancing in the night. Sleeping in the morning. Daydrinking, meeting friends and dating on the evening.

Enjoying cozy places like Antje Øklesund - other than written in the linked article, it never opened again, oder? - places you can just pop in, drink a beer or more and dance if you want. Even enjoy little concerts.

Meanwhile as Antje I surrendered to my dancing days even though I’ll cherish them and take them warmheartedly to my grave.

“Hands up, I surrender”
